How Photography Changed Art

Each new medium transforms & liberates the one before

GM. Happy Monday! Instead of a single topic spotlight, today we have a mega edition of articles, tweets research findings. Let's get right into it!

Today we cover:

  • Pixelmon, the big weekend winner

  • Our favourite takes of the week! (New)

  • A monk turns into an NFT degen

  • A new upcoming NFT project by the Marvel Studios founder. Don't miss this 👀👀

Market Update: Pixelmon Goes Ham

Remember we were telling you about Pixelmon and how it was going to be a great comeback story exactly a week ago? Looks like the market caught on a few days after we released our newsletter. Floor prices have gone >2X since we talked about it (it was 0.6 ETH then, now at 1.2 ETH).

Don't worry if you missed Pixelmon, and don't FOMO. We'll continue to identify cool projects for you in our research, there'll be lots of them. 🤝

The Forkast 500 NFT index is slightly higher over the weekend, breaching the psychological 4000 mark. It's also up 2.8% on the week.

Crypto has been having a good run this year, with BTC and ETH prices nearly doubling since its lows. Will profits flow into NFTs? We think so: not immediately but over the next few months. Time to pay attention!
